Our client is a Dublin-headquartered international construction company delivering large-scale, complex projects across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
With a strong pipeline and sustained growth across multiple jurisdictions, our client is now making a significant senior appointment to lead their legal function.
Key Points
The Role
This is a genuinely substantive Head of Legal appointment, built from the ground up for a construction group operating across four jurisdictions. You will take ownership of the Group's entire legal function, from contract strategy and risk management through to dispute resolution and corporate governance, working closely with the board, executive team, and project delivery teams.
This opportunity will suit someone who is keen to take on a role with real influence and who would like the opportunity to shape legal infrastructure across a scaling international business.

- Minimum 8 years PQE
- Construction law experience essential
- This may suit someone coming from the construction team at a reputable law firm, or someone already in-house who is ready to step up to an SLC/Head of Legal role
- Our client is keen the incoming SLC/Head of Legal to develop the legal function, so there is plenty of scope for progression and career advancement. They have a very well-developed PDP (personal performance programme) to ensure you will achieve your personal career goals.

Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, minimum 8 years PQE with demonstrable experience in construction law — this is a non-negotiable requirement
- Strong working knowledge of Irish contract law, construction law, and dispute resolution mechanisms
- Proven experience managing high-value contracts and complex legal negotiations
- Track record of operating at senior level with the commercial acumen to engage credibly with boards and executive teams
