Director of Consulting & Delivery Leadership

A growing consulting organisation is seeking a Director of Delivery Leadership & Performance to lead consulting standards and leadership capability across a large, multi-disciplinary delivery practice.
This senior role focuses on embedding consistent, high-quality delivery leadership at scale, ensuring strong performance, clear accountability and customer confidence - without direct ownership of PMO governance or commercial control.
You will be a highly visible, client-facing leader, setting expectations, developing senior delivery talent, and intervening early where leadership or performance standards are not met.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Set and enforce delivery leadership and consulting standards
2. Own career frameworks, progression paths and leadership development
3. Develop Programme Managers, Delivery Leads and senior consultants
4. Address underperformance constructively and early
5. Act as a senior client-facing leader and escalation point
6. Improve delivery outcomes through leadership quality and staffing judgement
7. Drive organisation-wide adoption of modern, AI-enabled delivery practices

Experience & Attributes required:

1. Senior leadership experience in consulting or professional services
2. Proven track record leading large delivery teams
3. Strong executive-level customer presence
4. Comfortable challenging poor practice and driving improvement
5. Calm, decisive and effective in complex environments
