Head of Financial Planning & Analysis 

A leading Irish group is currently recruiting for a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead Group budgeting, forecasting and commercial insight. This is a senior Group Finance role acting as a key business partner to the Finance Director, Executive Team and senior operational leaders.

Main duties:

• Lead the annual Group budgeting process across P&L, cashflow and balance sheet at Group and divisional level
• Own the quarterly and rolling forecasting cycle, ensuring consistency and alignment across business units
• Develop and maintain dynamic financial models for scenario analysis and forward planning
• Develop the Group's 5-year plan and provide Board updates on progress
• Support post-acquisition reviews
• Own monthly Group MI packs for the Senior Leadership Team, with clear narrative and performance drivers
• Deliver variance analysis with commercial implications
• Develop and track KPIs aligned to value creation, margin improvement and cash generation
• Lead investment appraisals, business cases and ad-hoc commercial analysis
• Partner with operational leadership on capital allocation and trading decisions
• Provide direction, oversight and quality control of the FP&A and commercial analysis function
• Set objectives and priorities for the team, and support capability building and succession planning
• Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, systems and reporting efficiency

The person:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
• Senior finance professional with strong FP&A, commercial analysis and Group reporting experience
• Comfortable operating both hands-on and at a senior strategic advisory level
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
• Proven experience coordinating and reviewing work delivered by others
• Strong stakeholder management skills in a multi-business environment
