Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with numbers, ensuring reporting accuracy, and contributing to robust financial processes.
As Financial Reporting Accountant you will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial information, supporting business decision-making, and maintaining strong financial controls. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance reporting quality, drive process improvements, and ensure the integrity of financial data in a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyse, and maintain accurate accounting records and financial reports in line with company policies and reporting standards.
- Support the delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements, ensuring information is accurate, reliable, and timely.
- Review financial transactions and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with finance and wider business teams to support reporting requirements and address accounting-related queries.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of financial reporting processes, controls, and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of financial data across reporting systems.
About You
- Ideally Audit trained with 5 year PQE in financial servicess, ideally in investment management.
- Previous experience in an accounting, financial reporting, or similar finance-focused role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with a highly organised and analytical approach.
- Comfortable working with large volumes of financial data and maintaining accurate records.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in accounting and reporting systems, along with advanced Excel skills, would be advantageous.
