Strategic Head of Operations - Multi-site service business

Group Operations Director | Dublin (with travel in Ireland)

A leading Irish business is appointing a Group Operations Director to lead operations across three locations. With around 180 people and a strong project pipeline, the business is investing in the structure, systems and leadership needed to scale, including a shift towards a recurring, SaaS-like service model.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Managing Director and sitting on the Executive Team, you will own operational delivery across three locations. This is a broad, visible mandate: build a scalable Group operating model, sharpen the end-to-end delivery process, and support the move towards a recurring, SaaS-like revenue base while embedding the planning and accountability a larger business needs.

You will:

• Translate Group strategy into clear operational plans, budgets and performance targets alongside the Executive Team
• Design and roll out a scalable operating model, with defined roles, decision rights and management routines across divisions and sites
• Lead and develop Branch General Managers and divisional leaders, balancing Group consistency with local accountability
• Drive predictable performance across margin, productivity, WIP, inventory and cash conversion
• Strengthen project mobilisation, programme control, delivery quality and commercial close-out, plus service scheduling, SLAs and first-time fix
• Support the transition to a recurring, SaaS-like service model, building the operational discipline needed for predictable, contract-based revenue
• Lead operational adoption of the ERP, introducing dashboards and a consistent cadence of branch, project and service reviews

You are:

• A senior operations leader from a multi-site, project-led or field-service business
• Proven at improving performance while supporting growth, with results across margin, delivery, capacity, quality and cash
• Experienced leading large, mixed workforces spanning project, field and office-based teams
• Commercially and financially strong across budgets, P&L, project controls, procurement and working capital
• Credible and collaborative, comfortable challenging constructively and holding people accountable across multiple locations in Ireland and Northern Ireland
