Senior Finance Manager
My client is a part of an international group. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager for their offices in South Dublin.
Job Purpose
To establish solid financial governance, enforce a strict month-end close framework, own Irish statutory compliance, and lead the day-to-day operations of the Irish ledger. This role is highly hands-on, requiring expertise in Irish tax structures preferably but not necessarily within the construction sector (RCT/Reverse Charge) and a strong commitment to maintaining a fully paperless, digitally optimized environment for all accounting workflows and the capability to actively support the transition of payroll and HR processes to a third-party HR company.

Job Purpose
To establish solid financial governance, enforce a strict month-end close framework, own Irish statutory compliance, and lead the day-to-day operations of the Irish ledger. Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Closing: Design, implement, and run a rigid Month-End Close schedule, ensuring full ledger closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting by Working Day 5.
- Operational Team Lead: Provide day-to-day functional leadership for small team of Accounts Clerks (AP/AR), ensuring accuracy in vendor matching, customer billing, and bank reconciliations.
- Treasury & Cash Alignment: Manage corporate liquidity and payment sign-offs while collaborating closely with the Group FP&A Manager to feed accurate operational data into group-wide cash forecasting models.
- Construction Tax Ownership: Execute and oversee the verification, contract notification, and deduction returns for subcontractors via Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) on ROS.
- VAT & Statutory Filings: Ensure faultless application of the VAT Reverse Charge for construction services and fully manage all standard Irish Revenue submissions (VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE/PRSI/USC).
- Audit Readiness: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing full statutory accounts and maintaining a clean, auditable trial balance.
- Support transition to move payroll and personnel administration to an external third-party provider.
- ERP Affinity: Maintain and leverage our existing NetSuite ERP architecture to ensure seamless, paperless document approval tracks and zero manual entry reliance across ledger operations.
- Qualified Accountant with 4+ years of post-qualified experience
- Proven experience operating within the Irish Construction or Project Management sector with direct, hands-on knowledge of RCT (Relevant Contracts Tax) and Reverse Charge VAT an advantage but mot essential
- Strong functional leadership capability and experience of developing teams
- Excellent communication skills
