Our client is a leading high-tech electronics manufacturer with a large site in Munster. They're growing, and they've created a new HR Business Partner role. You'll join an established HR team and report to the HR Manager.
The role
This is a hands-on, visible HR role in a manufacturing company. You'll work closely with operations teams. You'll help build a strong workplace culture and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
Respo
- First point of contact for employee queries, and resolve conflicts informally alongside manufacturing leaders
- Design, implement and manager culture and engagement initiatives such as social, sports, wellness and volunteering programmes
- Partner with managers on workforce planning, talent development and succession planning.
- Support the recruiter on hiring, smooth onboarding process, and promote internal progression
- Collaborate with leaders on employee dicussions, training needs and career development
- Ensure compliance with Irish employment law, working with the Health & Safety team
- Analyse HR metrics like retention, absenteeism and skills gaps, and recommend practical solutions
- Guide teams through change, including new technology and process improvements
What you'll bring
- 5+ years' experience as an HR Business Partner in manufacturing, engineering or a related sector
- Hands-on experience supporting production operatives and technicians, ideally in electronics or high-volume manufacturing
- A degree in HR, Business or a related discipline. A CIPD qualification is desirable
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment and work permit legislation
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to connect with everyone from the shop floor to senior managers
- A proactive, practical approach to solving problems informally
- Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills, plus experience with HR systems (e.g. CoreHR). Experience implementing a new HRIS is a plus
