Finance Manager
My client is a well known not for profit based in West Dublin.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will have responsibility for reporting, month-end and controls, and will play a big part in finance transformation and systems improvement projects.
Main duties:
- Own the month-end close and deliver accurate, timely management accounts with variance analysis
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and sort out any issues they turn up
- Prepare and review journals, including accruals and prepayments
- Support statutory reporting (IFRS / local GAAP) and act as a key contact for the auditors
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance across the organisation
- Find and implement process and systems improvements
- Support finance transformation and cross-functional projects
- Coach and support junior finance team members
- Work with internal departments and external stakeholders
The person:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, ideally 3 to 7 years post-qualification
- Strong financial accounting and reporting background, with proven month-end and balance sheet experience
- Good knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP and statutory reporting
- Experience working with auditors and managing audit processes
- Advanced Excel skills
- Finance transformation, systems implementation or process improvement experience is a plus
- Some exposure to tax compliance and regulation is useful
- Confident communicator who can juggle several priorities and hit tight deadlines
