Financial Accountant
Our client, a high-growth lending and leasing fintech that finances industrial projects across Europe and the US, is seeking a newly qualified Financial Accountant to join its small finance team. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the VP Finance, you will own the day-to-day payables, receipts and invoicing cycle and help build the finance function as the business scales. This is a broad role for someone who wants hands-on exposure well beyond a typical first post-qualification job.
The Role
- Own accounts payable and receivable, processing customer advances and receipts accurately and on time
- Maintain the outstandings list for payables and receivables and flag ageing items
- Manage external debt facilities: drawdowns, debt service amounts and covenant compliance reporting to lenders
- Support the pricing team in calculating debt and equity amounts due on new transactions
- Support preparation of the monthly management accounts with the corporate service provider, and in-house over time
- Help set up processes and information flows for a newly established Luxembourg fund structure
- Maintain loan and lease schedules, reconciled to contracts, and support customer invoicing across jurisdictions with external tax advisors
- Operate and document internal controls and keep clean records for audit and regulatory reporting
- Assist with budgeting, planning and ad-hoc analysis, including pricing and fundraising support
The Person
- Newly qualified accountant, ideally with financial services experience
- Strong, accurate bookkeeping and AP experience: invoices, ledgers and payment runs
- Comfortable with accounting software and strong Excel (formulas, reconciliations, clean schedules)
- Numerate, detail-focused and able to follow a control process independently
- Fund, asset management or corporate service provider / fund admin experience an advantage
- Experience supporting an audit or bringing processes in-house from an outsourced provider desirable
Salary: €60k - €75k depending on experience.
Hybrid working, 1 day onsite.
