Head of Investment Management

Head of Investment Management | 6 to 8 month contract | Dublin

Our client, the Irish UCITS management company of a global asset management group, is seeking an experienced Head of Investment Management on a 6 to 8 month contract. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will hold the PCF Designated Person role for Investment Management and lead oversight of the investment activities carried out by the ManCo and its delegates, at a time when the business has a number of strategic initiatives under way.

Key points:

• PCF-39D Designated Person for Investment Management, approved by the Central Bank of Ireland
• Seat on the ManCo's key management and oversight committees
• One direct report
• 6 to 8 month contract, hybrid working in Dublin City Centre

The Role

• Discharge the responsibilities of the PCF-39D role under the Fitness and Probity and Individual Accountability frameworks
• Oversee the investment management activities of the ManCo and its delegate investment managers
• Ensure activities stay within the firm's regulatory permissions and Board approved business plan
• Provide timely advice, insight and reporting to Boards and Committees on all investment management matters
• Support the Managing Director across the ManCo, including sub-fund launches and closures
• Take part in and sponsor group-wide projects that support business growth

The Person

• Significant experience in investment management oversight within an Irish UCITS ManCo or similar regulated environment
• Able to be approved for a PCF role by the Central Bank of Ireland; prior PCF-39D experience is a strong advantage
• Strong investment and portfolio analysis skills
• Confident presenting to Boards and Committees, with a solid grasp of governance and oversight
• Strong relationship management, attention to detail and the flexibility to hit the ground running on a contract basis
