Financial Accountant

Newly Qualified Accountant | Park West, Dublin 12

My client is a services company based in Parkwest. They are currently recruiting for a newly qualified accountant to join their Dublin finance team. This is a broad role with exposure to month end reporting, budgeting and audit in a busy multinational environment.

Main duties:

• Preparing and posting month-end purchase, sales and nominal ledger journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing and reconciling provisions
• Monthly P&L analysis and variance commentary for client accounts
• Supporting the Finance Manager on financial reporting for key client contracts
• Assisting with billing, supplier invoice settlements and refunds in line with agreed procedures
• IFRS 16 calculations and reporting
• Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Preparing schedules and handling queries for the year-end audit

The person:

• Newly or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA)
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical, logical approach
• Clear communicator, able to present numbers simply to non-finance colleagues
