Head of Finance - Private school

A long-established, well-regarded secondary school in south Dublin is creating a dedicated Head of Finance role. You’ll take full ownership of the school’s finances and work closely with the Headmaster on its multi-year development plan. 

You will:

• Own management reporting, annual accounts, the audit and a budget of c. €4.6m
• Lead financial planning and the financial side of a multi-year development and capital programme
• Manage banking relationships, borrowings, the endowment fund and the allocation of fundraising income
• Oversee income from facilities rental, plus debtors, creditors, fixed assets and payroll
• Lead a small, experienced finance team and handle HR for the administrative staff
• Act as the trusted financial partner to the Headmaster and liaise with contractors, auditors and parents

You are:

• An experienced Financial Controller or Finance Director who has fully owned the finance function
• Experienced with bank facilities, capital projects and multi-year planning
• A steady people manager and a clear communicator
• Ideally from an education, charity or not-for-profit background (not a prerequisite)
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
