The Panel attends the launch of Calcutta Run 2025

On Thursday 3rd of April 2025, the Law Society of Ireland and the Calcutta Run invited the Managing Partners from the law firms and the event sponsors to the launch of this years Calcutta Run.

The Panel is a proud, long-term sponsor of the Calcutta Run, and as such, we were delighted to attend the launch of Calcutta Run 2025, organised by the Law Society of Ireland. McCann Fitzgerald LLP kindly hosted the event.

To date, the Legal fundraiser has raised over €5.65 million in aid for those affected by homelessness in Dublin and Kolkata, India, since 1999. Last year, this Legal fundraiser collectively raised over €325,000.

This year Calcutta Run will take place in Dublin, Cork, and Galway. They will also hold their Golf Classic and Tag Rugby Tournament for interested parties to take part in.

All funds raised go to the Dublin Simon Community and The Hope Foundation.

The event was opened by Jamie McGee (Partner, Construction at McCann Fitzgerald). He welcomed all guests and introduced the moderator for the event, Miriam O’Callaghan.

Speaking at the event were the current President of the Law Society of Ireland, Eamon Harrington, Maura Lennon (CEO of the Hope Foundation), and Catherine Kenny (CEO of the Dublin Simon Community).
