Our client, a professional body association, is seeking a senior professional to lead its Career Development Department.
This is a permanent opportunity.
Key Points:
- This opportunity will suit professionals with a passion for leadership and career development, perhaps a HR professional or someone dealing with leadership and career development in the professional services industry.
- Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of professional services such as law firms or accountancy firms and how they operate.
- This will suit an innovative professional who has a good understanding and an interest in technology developments and how they relate to businesses.
- You must have experience of team management.
- Reporting to a Senior Director
- Minimum three days per week on-site required
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of career and practice development services for the association’s professionals
- Manage the Unit's team, operational budget, and project pipeline to ensure timely delivery across workstreams
- Drive strategic engagement
- Research and assess the evolving career needs
- Produce reports, communication materials, and strategy documents to a high standard
- Influence and collaborate with stakeholders
- Advance the organisation's priorities in technology, innovation, leadership development, and business/practice development
Requirements
- Relevant third-level qualification and/or significant senior experience in professional services, leadership and change development
- Minimum 5 years' management experience with demonstrable responsibility for teams, projects, and budgets
- Track record of stakeholder engagement and influencing across complex organisations
- Knowledge of technology, innovation, and talent development trends in professional services
