Finance Business Partner
A high-growth Irish consultancy in Dublin 2, is hiring a Finance Business Partner to support its UK subsidiary and partner with the wider finance, FP&A and operations teams. The company has been recognised as a Best Company to Work For, and offers a genuinely collaborative culture alongside meaningful commercial exposure.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad, hands-on role with real ownership — finance partnering for the UK entity, full P&L involvement, and an active part in an upcoming ERP implementation. Strong development path within a growing finance function.
Main duties:
- Act as finance business partner and primary contact for all finance matters relating to the UK subsidiary — presenting analysis, providing insight and recommending future strategies
- Support the commercial team with pricing, invoicing and cash collection
- Own the accounts payable process, including implementation of a purchase order process and keeping creditor balances within terms
- Own weekly and monthly cash flow management, reporting to the FC and MD
- Own the monthly payroll process, working with HR and the external payroll provider
- Take ownership of the ERP system — maintaining master data, training the wider team, and playing an active role in the upcoming new ERP implementation
- Prepare monthly management accounts within group deadlines, including GL postings, reconciliations and journal entries
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and support the annual audit, liaising with external auditors
- Liaise with local compliance partners on UK tax and statutory filings
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Maintain and improve internal controls and assist with group reporting requirements
The person:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 2–3 years' PQE
- UK market exposure desirable but not essential
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience of partnering with non-finance stakeholders
- Hands-on, "roll up the sleeves" approach with strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Strong Excel and ERP/financial systems experience
- Continuous improvement mindset
