A leading regulated financial services organisation is seeking a Head of Infrastructure Transformation and Platform Modernisation to shape and deliver a multi-year technology transformation agenda across on-premise, hybrid and cloud environments.
Reporting to the Head of Technology Platforms and Architecture, you will define and execute the infrastructure transformation strategy that underpins the modernisation of critical enterprise platforms. This is a strategic enablement role. You will drive simplification, automation, AI Operations and predictive resilience, partnering with engineering, platform and architecture teams to accelerate the shift towards adaptive, self-healing, engineering-led operations.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Head of Technology Platforms and Architecture, you will define and execute the infrastructure transformation strategy that underpins the modernisation of critical enterprise platforms. You will drive simplification, automation, AI Operations and predictive resilience, partnering with engineering, platform and architecture teams to accelerate the shift towards adaptive, self-healing, engineering-led operations.
What you'll do
- Own the infrastructure transformation strategy across cloud, on-premise and hybrid platforms
- Lead simplification, rationalisation and modernisation to reduce complexity and technical debt
- Establish automation at scale through Infrastructure as Code, policy-as-code and intelligent orchestration
- Build AI Operations and observability capabilities, including predictive analytics, anomaly detection and automated remediation
- Champion Site Reliability Engineering, platform engineering and resilience-by-design
- Enable engineering and architecture teams through reusable patterns, golden paths and self-service platforms
- Influence senior technology investment decisions and lead strategic vendor, cloud and partner engagements
- 10+ years in infrastructure engineering, platform technologies, architecture and cloud services, gained within complex enterprise or regulated financial services environments
- 5+ years at senior leadership level, leading large-scale transformation, platform modernisation and organisational change
- Proven delivery of transformation strategies spanning cloud adoption, automation, platform engineering and operational resilience
- Hands-on experience implementing AI Operations, observability, Infrastructure as Code or self-healing technologies with measurable business outcomes
- Strong stakeholder influence and change leadership across complex matrix organisations
