Finance Manager
Our client is a well-known Irish business and a household name. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will own audit, technical accounting and month-end reporting, and play a lead part in a live ERP upgrade and wider process improvement work.
Main duties:
- Lead the annual audit and act as the main point of contact for the external auditors
- Own the month-end close and deliver monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary
- Manage balance sheet reviews, reconciliations and supporting schedules to audit standard
- Provide technical accounting guidance, including lease accounting, acquisition accounting and Customs & Excise
- Manage treasury and cashflow forecasting, liquidity and banking relationships
- Maintain strong control over stock accounting, reconciliations and reporting
- Play a lead role in the ERP upgrade, covering process mapping, data integrity, testing and user adoption
- Drive process improvements and raise reporting standards across the group, including KPIs and management information
- Manage and develop a team of three: a Systems Analyst, an Accountant and a Part Qualified Accountant
- Provide ad hoc analysis to the Financial Controller and Executive team
The person:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 3+ years' PQE
- Strong technical accounting background, ideally from practice or audit
- Strong stock and inventory accounting experience is essential
- Solid experience of month-end, balance sheet control and audits
- ERP experience, ideally including a system upgrade or implementation
- Strong Power BI, Excel and analytical skills
- Proven ability to coach and develop junior team members
This role will be based 5 days on site in North Dublin.
