Operations Director - Portfolio of companies across disparate sectors

Our client is an investment business with a portfolio of businesses across different sectors in Ireland. They scale via acquisition.

They are now looking for someone to partner with the owner-managers and general managers across the different businesses, acting as a proactive business partner to identify and fix operational issues.

There is great variety in the role. This can range from ensuring an ERP system implementation is properly resourced and planned to proactive working capital management.

Other scenarios may include:

• How to proactively manage an overstocking issue
• Helping with pricing of contracts that enhance margins
• Ensuring the GTM strategy is robust and applied properly
• Dealing with resourcing issues
• Business partnering with the MD

No two days will be the same.

 You are:

• Someone who can see around corners
• Have handled similar issues already and addressed them properly
• Ideally, you've had hands-on experience in a similar role and also worked as a consultant in your career
• A credible communicator who knows how to fix things and empowers people to fix them for themselves
• Someone who is comfortable partnering with entrepreneurs of all shades

The role is based in Dublin with some travel around Ireland. You need to be currently resident in Ireland and eligible to work.
