Head of Client Asset Oversight Ireland - PCF 45

Our client, a leading brokerage and financial services organisation, is seeking an accomplished Head of Client Asset Oversight (PCF-45) to lead and enhance its client asset governance framework in Ireland.

This is a high-profile leadership appointment for a recognised subject matter expert in client asset regulation, offering the opportunity to influence firm-wide governance, engage directly with senior executives and regulators, and play a critical role in safeguarding client assets across the organisation.

The Opportunity

Reporting to senior leadership, you will have independent responsibility for overseeing the firm's client asset framework, ensuring the highest standards of governance, control and regulatory compliance. As the designated PCF-45, you will provide robust challenge, oversight and strategic direction across operations, risk, compliance, legal and business functions.

This role offers significant visibility at executive and board level and will suit an individual who thrives in a highly regulated environment and is passionate about maintaining a strong client asset control culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the firm's client asset oversight framework in line with Irish regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and enhance the governance, monitoring and control environment supporting the safeguarding of client assets.
• Act as the designated PCF-45, subject to regulatory approval.
• Provide independent oversight of key client asset controls and escalation processes.
• Own and develop the Client Asset Management Plan (CAMP) and supporting governance documentation.
• Oversee breach management, root cause analysis and remediation programmes.
• Deliver high-quality reporting to executive management, governance committees and board forums.
• Support regulatory reviews, audits, client asset examinations and assurance activities.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to drive accountability, continuous improvement and a culture of strong risk management.

Candidate Profile

• Previous PCF approval with extensive experience in client asset, client money, custody or safeguarding oversight, compliance or controls
• Experience operating in a senior governance, risk, compliance or oversight capacity.
• Demonstrable experience engaging with regulators, senior executives and control functions.
• Deep understanding of governance, risk and control frameworks.
• Experience developing and maintaining a CAMP or equivalent client asset governance framework.
• Strong investigative, problem-solving and remediation management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience producing board and committee-level reporting.
