Calcutta Run 2023 Launch – Celebrating 25 years of fundraising
On Thursday 23rd of March, the Law Society of Ireland and the Calcutta Run invited the legal industry to the launch of the 25th Calcutta Run.
We were delighted to attend the launch of Calcutta Run 2023, organised by the Law Society of Ireland recently. The event was kindly hosted by Arthur Cox LLP and moderated by Matt Cooper.
This year is a big one as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of the event. All funds raised go to the Peter McVerry Trust and The Hope Foundation.
Orla O’Connor (Chair and Partner, Arthur Cox) welcomed everyone, after which event moderator Matt Cooper spoke to Maura Lennon (International Fundraising Director at The Hope Foundation) and Brian Friel (Peter McVerry Trust). Also speaking were Mark Garrett (Director General, Law Society of Ireland), Owen O’Sullivan (Managing Partner, William Fry), and Maura Derivan (President, Law Society of Ireland) closed the proceedings.
